This is so not true….especially at the new Bulleit Distillery in Shelbyville where almost 70% of their employees are women. See women love bourbon too! Women are a big part of the industry, from being their main Whiskey Blender (which is so for Bulleit), to distillers, to even owners.
Since Bulleit is the newest experience on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, you know I had to check it out. It is definitely one for the girls! I mean grab your favorite gal pals and spend the day at Bulleit Distillery. The tour takes you through the process of distilling their bourbon and rye whiskeys and the history of the Bulleit Family. One of the coolest things about this distillery is their Frontier Works. Since Bulleit is a whiskey for the modern frontier, they love to showcase the unique works of the entrepreneur frontier. Whether they are a graffiti artist, tattoo artist, or a crafter…Bulleit exposes these talented creatives throughout their distillery, social media and beyond. Get some education and libations while sampling the different types of Bulleit Bourbon and Rye Whiskey, which include: Bulleit Bourbon, Bulleit Rye, Bulleit Bourbon 10 Year Old, Bulleit Barrel Strength. My personal fave is the 10 Year Old. After the tasting you can head into their onsite bar where you can order a cocktail. The best part is the plant and flower wall, that is perfect for photo opts said all girls and influencers everywhere! And who doesn’t want to do a little shopping in the gift shop, full of tee towels, apparel, goodies and even a place for you to make your own label (which I suggest you do).
Bulleit Distillery is definitely a good time, so grab your girlfriends, go explore, expand you palate and make bourbon girly!
