Flex Friday or Fitness Friday whatever your fancy make it count. Lately I have not been making it count and I am definitely feeling it. This is the same old song and dance and I am ready to change it. Not as a New Year’s resolution but like now. I am ready for barre, cycling, and maybe another 1/2 marathon, who is with me? This is ridiculous, but it is my own fault. I should start a support group for the “I use to workout, but fell off”. Who wants to join? But in all seriousness I feel like I am ready to get back and I have noticed that I do better working out in the winter. There is no better time then present. Happy Monday y’all!! What has everyone been up to? This past weekend was busy cleaning out my closet, shopping for home decor and going to a baby shower. Since today is the beginning of the work week I thought that it was appropriate to showcase some business wear. Where are all my corporate ladies, entrepreneurs, or just overall stylish girls at? This outfit is for you!
If you have been following me for awhile you know houndstooth is on of my favorite cold weather designs. This textured tweed houndstooth woven pattern dress is great for fall and winter work attire. It is the right length; hitting the top of the knee, form fitting, and overall the right details. I paired this dress with black heels and gold hoops. Happy Makeup Monday!! Who is in the mood for some new matte lipstick?? I am always ready to try on a new lippie, especially if it is from Pixi Beauty. I have featured this brand on the blog and social media many times so there is no secret that I am a fan. They have great skincare and some amazing beauty products, all of which are affordable. Right now lipstick is my jam and I am loving Pixi’s MatteLast Liquid Lip. I like them because they are very pigmented, they have some great fall colors to choose from, and they do not dry your lips out. I did a couple swatches in my new YouTube video here. Hello World! How is your week? Mine? Trying to get back to some normalcy. Wedding, work conference, I feel like I need a vacay. Anyway, I am ready to bring on Fall weather. What about you? I love wearing cute jackets like this one below. They are great to ward off some of the cold weather. Army green is very popular right now. A jacket like this makes the outfit, especially with all the colorful details. It is pretty much the center piece to build the rest of the attire around. Pairing it with neutrals, such as white jeans, nude heels and a tan tank, allows for the detail to pop. This is a perfect outfit for fall. Shop it below.

City Girl

I have always been a city girl! I love the busyness, all the people, the buzz in the air, and the feeling of motivated people getting from one place to another. Are you a city person or do you like things a little more slower pace? Either way this dress is perfect for a night out in the city. The details work great to hide any parts you don’t want to showcase, as well give your figure some shape. For the fall this dress pairs well with booties or over the knee boots. I accessorized with a brown leather clutch, leather earrings and burgundy lipstick. This is a date night, girls night out, or a night at the theater to see a broadway play type dress. Finally Fall

It’s finally fall and in some places it really feels like it in others not so much. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love sweaters, boots, scarfs, and anything pumpkin. Are you a fall lover? One misconception about fall is that you can’t wear white. Well…that’s not true and these white jeans will definitely be on full rotation until at least November, if not longer. I paired them with an off the shoulder sweater, which is perfect for this time of the year since we have mild morning and warmer afternoons. I brought in some browns with the wedges and tote to complete the outfit. I am partially to brown and tan tones because they are a neutral and go with almost any skin tone. These colors are a staple for fall. 
The funnest part about this shoot was it was like 90 degrees and humid, and I am over here preparing for fall content. That is what a blogger does! 🙂 Happy Fall Y’all! Shop this look below.

Mini Engagement Session

Hi All! I cannot believe it is wedding week. I am working diligently to get everything finished by this Wednesday so I can enjoy the rest of the week with the least stress as possible. Wish me luck! Anyway, a couple days ago I convinced Ben to finally do a mini engagement session. It was well worth it. I love these pictures. We are planning to blow one of them up to poster size to use as our guest book, where people sign around the border and we frame it as a keepsake from our wedding. Guess Who’s Back

Guess who’s back, back again! I took a quick break from blogging to do some wedding and other business stuff but now I am back. The wedding is two weeks from today and I feel pretty calm about it, but ask me how I am doing in a week, lol! Anyway, fall is among us. Actually the first day of fall is my wedding day. So how are you transitioning to fall like weather? Me, with cute dresses and booties of course! Like in this outfit, it is perfect for those still warm afternoons and even cooler mornings and evenings. Booties are probably one of my favorite things about colder weather. I plan to add some new ones to my shoe closet this season, so stay tuned! What are you looking forward to this fall?

Skincare with Live No B.S.

   

Let’s face it we are all getting older! We might not want to admit it, but it is true! So you should take care of your skin. I had the opportunity to try this Live No B.S. Retinol Night Cream and I love it. Definitely a new staple in my nighttime skincare routine. I must say I used to be a little scared when I heard the word retinol, but I did my research and learned that it actually is great for your skin. Who else is/was a little scared of it??

So let me give you the low down on retinol. It is a vitamin A compound that helps with fine lines and wrinkles, sun spots, acne spots, and discoloration. Retinol is completely safe and many women use it to make their skin have a more youthful appearance. I personally have no worries about using it now  especially since I have found this Live No B.S. All Around the Merry Go Round

Happy Monday! Where has the weekend gone?!? I feel like every weekend I have good intentions to get multiple thing accomplished, then I blink and it is Sunday night. Ugh! Does this happen to anyone one else? Time needs to slow down so I can get through my to do list.

Anyway, summer is almost over so I thought it was a perfect time to wear this Zaful two-piece floral short set. It is comfy and casual, great for a hot end of the season summer’s day. I accessorized with a tan wristlet, gold jewelry, and cheetah print flats. What are your end of the season favorites?
