Many people want to lose weight but lack the motivation to do so. This was revealed in a Washington Post survey, which showed that 38% of people can’t maintain an active workout schedule. Therefore, many people continually join gyms as a way to remain motivated to follow a healthier lifestyle. Apart from motivation, here are some more good reasons why you should consider joining a gym. Continue reading “3 Great Reasons To Get A Gym Membership”
Could You Do More To Be Active Day To Day? Here’re Some Options To Consider
When it comes to fitness and exercise we all know that it is really good for us, but yet, not all of us do as much of it as we should. Exercise is proven to be a great way to defeat things such as depression and anxiety, and can help you to feel more energized during the day. But often getting started can be the hardest part. This might be because of the way that you are exercising, not everyone loves to go to the gym on their own. So here are some of the ways that you can be more active day to day. Just Doing My Thing
Just doing my thing! All day everyday! What about you? It is almost spring/summer time and I have come to the realizations that I didn’t commit to getting my life together and focus on my health and fitness. I truly have a battle with this and want to change it. So what to do? What are you all doing that you love and works? I have enjoyed intermitting fasting, barre workouts (specially at The Barre Code locally), cycling and juicing. I literally love everything I have listed, but I am just not consistent and motivated to do any of them on a regular basis. Maybe I need an accountability partner or maybe even just more sleep. My mind is occupied with so many things that it is draining and stressful. So I fully plan to work on me in the next couple months and what better way to do that then in cute athlesiure, which is my favorite. Shop some of my picks below.

Motivation
Happy Summer! It is beyond hot here in the bluegrass state, almost unbearable. How are you holding up where you are? I started this post as a fitness motivation post for myself and then quick realized I that I honestly just needed to ask for motivation from you all. Truth is I find it hard to go to work, go to the gym and come home to work on my other businesses (blog, plant nite, wedding stuff), as well as do household things (cook, clean, laundry). How do you all do it all? How do you keep it straight? With the wedding being less then 100 days away I guess I am asking for suggestions. What works for you?

Up for Anything
Are you sticking to your resolutions?? I am motivated to reach the goals I set for 2018. That is why I am voicing them to my followers, so you can keep me accountable. My first resolution was to take better care of my skin (day 10 and I am still all in!), and now my second is to wear stylish athletic clothes (lol!), no really it is to get in shape for my up coming wedding (September will be here before you know it), but I definitely plan to be stylish while doing it. This is why I have fallen in love with the Athleta Up for Anything Tight. These tights are amazing and here is why:
*The versatility of them are what you are looking for. From barre to pilates to strength training or a 5k run, these tights are definitely Up for Anything.
*They are made from a new sculpteck light fabric so the fit is light weight and they have lighter compression then most, that still allows full movement with support. Basically they are super comfy and you are going to want to wear them all the time.
*They have pockets!! No one is probably more happy about this then me! Athlesiure attire with pockets are my favorite. It means you can go straight from working out to running errands or vice versa. The tights have enough places to hold all your personal items while on the go. There are 4 pockets- 2 side stash packets, 1 zip pocket, and 1 internal key pocket.
*No flip waistband. How many pants have you had that flip over at the top? I hate that. These don’t roll at the top.
*Athleta even thought of safety. The 7/8 and full length have a reflective trim sewn into the bottom hem on the inside. So when you go for that early morning or night run, you just flip up the hem for a much needed reflective feature.
Tell me you don’t already think they are awesome and you haven’t even tried them yet? 🙂

Travel: Yellowstone National Park
If you are outdoorsy and looking for a beautiful place to vacation let me suggest Yellowstone National Park. It is beyond breathe taking and surreal. A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit this scenic view. Although I only got to see 1/3 of the park (coming in through the west entrance) because it is so massive it was well worth it to see Buffalos, Elk, Old Faithful and many other natural wonders. If you are any where close to this beautiful place you should plan a day trip or weekend trip because it is well worth it.
When you visit Yellowstone you will definitely need some cold weather activewear. If it snows you need good insulted/water proof boots. I like these here. As well as a puffy vest and a long sleeve jacket or hoodie. Lastly, long athletic pants are a must too, try these here. What is your favorite type of activewear? Shop mine below.
